What’s Your Favorite U.S. National Park?

Hey, it’s been a though, has not it? I do not believe I have prepared a weblog article in a calendar year or so. I hope you’re all undertaking perfectly in these crazy moments. As always, thanks for reading through.

I have a problem: What’s your favourite U.S. Countrywide Park?

More than the past two yrs, I’ve fallen in really like with them.

Prior to the pandemic, I had only frequented a handful of them, typically by incident. But once the pandemic hit, and it was secure adequate to road-trip, I drove all close to the nation checking out them.

Now I’ve witnessed 15 out of 63. And someday, I’d like to see them all.

First, there was Redwood National Park, with its towering trees and black-sand beaches…

Then Indiana Dunes, with its sprawling sights of nuclear reactors…

Then Utah, household to some of the greatest nationwide parks in the region: I frequented Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.

Just after Utah, I visited Mammoth Cave (Kentucky) and Very hot Springs (Arkansas), on the way to Austin, which is exactly where I live now.

Then there was Massive Bend, Texas. The evening sky is extraordinary there! You can see so many stars.

Followed by Petrified Forest in New Mexico…

And most a short while ago, Glacier (Montana) and Grand Teton (Wyoming). Glacier Nationwide Park reminded me of Switzerland with its alpine valleys, purple wildflowers, and jagged mountains. I even noticed mountain goats.

I truly feel so fortunate that I have gotten to see so considerably of our wonderful place in the past few a long time.

When I was youthful, I concentrated solely on worldwide journey (this web site is not called Ashley Overseas for nothin’). But over the previous two several years, I’m content to report that I have gained a newfound appreciation for my personal backyard.

It turns out you don’t have to fly halfway all around the planet to go on an adventure.

As for my favourite? It’s a two-way tie involving Redwood and Major Bend.
