Tim Allen pays tribute to Dwelling Advancement character Wilson in Last Guy Standing sneak peek
Tim Allen will honor a beloved character from his ’90s sitcom House Advancement through the distinctive Very last Person Standing crossover episode airing Thursday evening on Fox.
In the episode, titled “Twin Time,” Mike Baxter (Allen) has a tete-a-tete with Tim Taylor (also performed by Allen), a household repairman who could be his twin. The Instrument Guy delivers up Wilson, his previous neighbor who only showed fifty percent his experience peeking above the wooden fence that divided their properties for the duration of their numerous backyard discussions.
Wilson was portrayed by Earl Hindman throughout 202 House Advancement episodes that aired between 1991 and 1999. The actor died of lung cancer in 2003, at 61.
In the unique clip over, Mike asks Tim, “Who was Wilson?”
“A person of my neighbors, actually,” Tim replies. “For quite a few, a lot of a long time, I shared a lot of stuff with him. He handed absent.” He later on adds, “I miss Wilson. I miss out on a good deal of stuff.”
Allen tells EW of the tribute, “Earl intended the entire world to me and everybody at Property Advancement. It was an organic minute to settle on, both on the set and in our hearts.”
Fox announced in October that the ninth season of Final Guy Standing, which kicked off Jan. 3, would be its final. The season premiere released a sequence of time jumps that identified Mike and his wife, Vanessa (Nancy Travis), with two new grandchildren, and also coping with owning their center daughter, Mandy (Molly McCook), and her partner, Kyle (Christoph Sanders), dwelling with them.
“Twin Time” will air tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
