QAnon supporter joining U.S. Residence education and learning committee has called university shootings ‘false-flag’ events
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., who has adopted the QAnon extremist ideology and has referred to as fatal faculty shootings in Connecticut and Florida “false-flag” operations by gun-control supporters, is becoming a member of the Household Training and Labor Committee.
Residence Republicans who considered it was acceptable to place on the schooling committee an individual who is pushed by point-absolutely free conspiracy theories are also assigning to the panel Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C. He resolved President Donald Trump’s Jan. 6 rally, falsely boasting that Trump had gained the November elections, before a mob of Trump supporters staged an tried insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Greene, who has frequently created racist feedback, tweeted about her new assignment, stating: “Very energized to sign up for Ranking Member @virginiafoxx and some others on the Household Schooling and Labor Committee! Let’s get to perform!” (She was referring to the ranking Republican on the committee, who introduced new customers this week.)
The committee is headed by Rep. Bobby Scott, D-Va. His office environment did not straight away react to a query about Greene’s assignment to it. Neither did the offices of the Republican leadership in Congress.
Requested about her past responses about college shootings and QAnon, her press secretary, Nick Dyer, claimed in an e-mail to Schooling Week, which 1st claimed on the committee assignments, and then to The Washington Post:
“Congresswoman Greene is fired up to sign up for the Property Schooling and Labor Committee. Rep. Greene is completely ready to get to work to reopen each individual faculty in The us, increase school decision, guard homeschooling, champion religious liberty for pupil and instructors, and protect against males and boys from unfairly competing with gals and ladies in sports activities.”
Dyer did not reply to e-mail inquiring about Greene’s aid for QAnon, a sprawling set of bogus claims that have coalesced into an extremist ideology that has radicalized its followers who allege that Trump has been secretly doing the job to expose an elite cabal of youngster sexual abusers – together with well known political figures in Washington – that has been hid by America’s intelligence companies and other “deep state” actors.
Greene also expressed guidance for conspiracy theories about faculty shootings currently being pretend and/or staged by gun-manage advocates hoping to drum up guidance for their result in.
