New appointments to Board of Education, Council on Postsecondary Education, pre-K council

PROVIDENCE — New members had been appointed by Gov. Dan McKee to the Board of Schooling, the Council on Postsecondary Training, and the Council on Elementary and Secondary Education and learning.

Caprio will fill Timothy DelGiudice’s seat on the Rhode Island Board of Education and learning and the Council on Postsecondary Instruction.

Caprio’s appointment to the Board of Schooling received Senate advice and consent on May possibly 24.

Marcy Reyes has been appointed to the Council on Postsecondary Education. She is an adjunct professor of finance at Rhode Island School, and founder and executive director of the Monetary Literacy Youth Initiative, which brings economical literacy programming to underserved youth.

Her title has been submitted to the Senate for information and consent.

McKee has appointed Mary Barden to the Board of Education. She replaces Marianne Monte, who just lately resigned from the board.

He strategies to appoint Barden to the Council on Elementary and Secondary Instruction, changing Larry Purtill, who will go to the Council on Postsecondary Education.

Barden was named incoming govt director of the Nationwide Training Affiliation Rhode Island in March. She teaches social experiments at Davisville Center Faculty in North Kingstown.
