Maury County schools names new supervisor of Career and Technical Education

Maury County General public Educational facilities has announced that Amy Davis Roberts will serve as the district’s new supervisor of Career and Complex Education.

“I am excited to satisfy our Maury County CTE personnel and our university administration, as nicely as our community and business partners, to identify how we can all operate collectively to keep on to progress CTE in Maury County,” Roberts explained to The Every day Herald.

The situation was formerly held by Dr. Lori Brown who retired from the district in February 2022 and a short while ago commenced a new job as a community relations professional with the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Roberts released her instruction profession at Giles County Higher University in 2004 as an English Teacher. In 2017, she then grew to become assistant principal at Giles County Large School.

Right after finding her enthusiasm for profession and specialized instruction, she moved into the job of CTE Director for the Giles County Board of Education and learning, wherever she oversaw CTE plans and functions.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Mrs. Roberts into our Maury County household,” claimed Lisa Ventura, interim superintendent. “She will come really proposed from the two the state of Tennessee and Giles County College District. We are looking forward to escalating scholar achievement in Job and Technical Training with her abilities.”

As Giles County’s CTE Director, Roberts developed interactions with community teams and organizations, amid numerous other strengths, to guide her at MCPS.

Roberts obtained a BA in English from Athens Point out University and a BS in Psychology in 1996. In 2011 She been given a Master of Education from MTSU and her Instructional Expert (EdS) in 2013. Roberts been given the Pioneer Award Winner for the South Central Region of TN CTE in 2022.
