Kid Performance Ideas For Family Parties

Once in a while, there is a time wherein big family gatherings are called for, and preparations for this event are a long and well thought of process. With a lot of details to be arranged such as poster printing, stage and lights set-up, table and chairs delivery, and much more, performing for your loved ones can be amusing for the family and to yourself too.

Putting up a good show is a nice way of reaching out to family members; especially to those you are not very much acquainted with. This can also be your time to let out your frustrations in singing, acting, and others; and the good thing is that being silly or weird is not something you have to worry about.

With big shows, the more performances are a lot better and having some of them come from family members makes the event more intimate as they get to know a little bit more of who you are also.

1. National dance: Picking out a famous dance from any country you wish is already entertaining enough with the costume alone. Performing any sort of dance unknown to people is interesting; through sharing the dance, your audience can learn a thing or two about a country’s culture. Not only have you entertained but provided a glimpse of a country’s culture as well.

2. Pet Tricks: Bringing of pets is always a good sight for kids and the elders also; and having to see them perform tricks is always a fun-loving performance to watch. Also, as the performer, you can show off your disciplinary skills in training your dog do such wonders. Having one or two of your family members engage in any of the tricks you have can be a good highlight too.

3. Acting/Theatre Performance: If you have a group of cousins relatively of the same age group, putting up a whole theatrical performance would be one appreciated by everyone. A story told and portrayed by someone the audience knows personally is a good way to keep them entertained and also learn a little more about you and your talents. Hanging some poster prints around the venue on you theatrical play can get your relatives more excited throughout the gathering.

4. Runway show: If there is a majority of teens in your family, putting up a runway show for your parents, aunt, and uncles can be fun for both you and your audience. Also, your relatives can learn more about you not being a kid anymore or you can easily share you designing talents.

Sharing a little bit of your talents will be very much appreciated by family members. Also, to engage yourself in making a family gathering more interesting is fun as you get to interact with your cousins and have a closer bond with them along the way.
