‘Home Improvement’ reboot? ‘Last Person Standing’ crossover stirs tons of speculation

Tim Allen reprised his House Improvement character, Tim “The Resource Man” Taylor, for the duration of Thursday night’s Last Guy Standing. Fans of the two series celebrated the crossover, which also hinted at a prospective reboot.

The premise of the episode was that Tim preferred to meet Mike Baxter, Allen’s other character, because he listened to they glimpse so significantly alike. Tim helped Mike with a broken rubbish disposal, and of system hilarity ensued.

Although a lot of the episode was exciting, there had been a couple tender times. The most touching moment was when Tim talked about how much he missed his outdated neighbor, Wilson Wilson Jr. Wilson was performed by Earl Hindman, who died in 2003.

Just one of the most significant surprises from the episode was the hint of a reboot. In fact, in just one scene Mike tells Tim, “You may possibly want to assume of rebooting that Tool Time.” The suggestive dialogue led to energized admirers speculating on Twitter.

Past Man Standing airs Thursday nights at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
