City of Auburn hosts SummerNight Downtown Art Walk in entertainment district

AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) – The SummerNight Downtown Art Stroll is Friday, June 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the downtown Auburn amusement district.

The event attributes perform of neighborhood and regional artists, stay audio, service provider specials, children’s pursuits and a culinary contest.

The Town of Auburn/Jan Dempsey Community Arts Middle, Auburn Arts Association, Saint Dunstan’s Episcopal Church and the Auburn Downtown Retailers Affiliation host the event annually.

Throughout SummerNight, downtown retailers and dining places remain open soon after frequent small business hrs and folks of all ages are encouraged to store, dine, loosen up and enjoy the arts in downtown Auburn.

JDCAC Cultural Arts Director Sara Hand Custer encourages anyone to practical experience a tropical themed SummerNight Downtown Art Walk.

“This year’s celebration will aspect a general performance by Mahealani Polynesian Leisure together with Sons of Sailors, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band,” Custer explained.

“Come early as we will be passing out absolutely free Hawaiian themed items. We’ll have above 60 artists selling their function, palms-on artwork functions for small children in front of St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, extended purchasing hours with our downtown retailers and you can even sample merchandise from our “Crazy for Coconuts” culinary contest at the Auburn Arts Affiliation booth.”
