Broward Education Foundation surprises high school seniors, families with housing essentials, full-ride scholarships

Friday afternoon the Broward Education Basis along with others amazed some higher university seniors and their families struggling with housing instability with no cost dorm essentials, and some been given a whole-experience scholarship.

Danie Joseph was one of 25 learners Friday who acquired the Frederick A. DeLuca Basis Scholarship that pays for all 4 yrs of her education and learning.  

She’ll be going to Florida Global College and Friday afternoon there was no lack of pleased tears.

Joseph’s sister was overwhelmed with emotion and awe of her sister’s accomplishments.  

“She worked challenging for four years, she failed to even speak the language, she taught herself. She did dual enrollment,” stated Joseph’s sister.   

Joseph was not the only one particular that was overjoyed Friday afternoon.  

Marcus Rhodes and his mom had been thrilled as he attained a laptop and other materials to fill his dorm at Edward Waters University this fall.
